The Digital Revolution
Loss of Freedom, Connection, Reality and the Self

The Digital Revolution is a book about one piece of our troubled world: a world facing climate catastrophe, ideological bifurcation and gridlock, inequities throughout society, confusion regarding reality, individual power and wealth dominating empathic community, shallow ‘likes’ replacing true connection, and all embedded within a viral pandemic.
Contributing significantly to these troubles is the progressive digitalization of the world, our ever-increasing reliance on our digital devices that control our lifestyle, way of thinking and feeling, and even our moral life. It is the extent of this level of control, unacknowledged by the controller and largely unknown to those controlled, that The Digital Revolution brings to light through scholarly research and analysis.
This book is a swansong plea that we rise above the mesmerizing enchantment of our digital tools. It is a call to all digital users to stop looking at their screens in hope of seeing something more than Clouds and understanding the effects of digitalization on their lives.
